At our farm, we’re committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent purchasing experience. Please take a moment to review our terms of sale, as they outline important details about purchasing goats from us. 

General Information
  • We do reserve the right to retain any animal on the sales list for herd replacement, or withdraw from sale any animal at any time. 

  • We abide by ADGA Recommended Trade Practices as defined in the ADGA Guidebook.

  • All buck kids sold will have DNA testing completed at no additional cost.

  • All bucks and does sold will be microchipped with 840 chips in addition to being tattooed.

  • We love staying connected! Updates about how our goats are doing in your herd are always appreciated.

Communication Expectations

Communication is important to us. If we do not receive a response within 72 hours of trying to answer questions, ask questions, or schedule transport or pickup, any money paid towards your reservation/purchase will be forfeit and we will move on to the next buyer

Reserving a Kid

Sending a deposit is your guarantee that you will buy that animal at the agreed upon price quoted and within the timeframe specified in this document.

  • Pricing: Prices listed are for pre-ordered kids picked up or shipped by six weeks of age. If a kid remains on the farm beyond this timeframe, a boarding fee of $50 per week will be applied.

  • Deposits: A deposit of $100 per kid is required to secure your reservation. Reservations are processed in the order deposits are received. Please include both a first and second choice with your deposit.

  • Notification: When your reserved kid is born, we will notify you via email, Facebook, or Messenger. If we do not receive a response within 72 hours, the reservation will be considered canceled.

A reservation is not made until we receive your deposit.

Balance and Payment Terms

We do not take payments or offer financing of any kind. If the balance is not paid within 72 hours of notification, and no other arrangements have been made, the reservation and deposit will be forfeited, and the kid may be offered to another buyer.

We will hold animals for 14 days after sale for free to allow for transportation arrangement, thereafter a $10 a day boarding cost will apply. We will do everything reasonably within our power to make the process go smoothly, but will not arrange transportation on behalf of the buyer. 

We take payments via cash, Cash App, Zelle, and Venmo.

Deposit Refunds and Cancellations

Deposits for canceled orders are non-refundable

  • If your chosen kid is unavailable or has a disqualifying defect, we will refund your deposit, offer you a kid from a different breeding, or apply it to another kid or the following year.

  • We cannot guarantee the color or pattern of Nubians; cancellations due to color preference will result in a forfeited deposit.

The only time a refund will be offered is when the animal of your choice or your backup choice was not born, has a disqualifying defect, or the unlikely event the kid passes away before delivery to you. In the event of a refund, we respectfully request 7 business days from notification to provide it.

Buck Kid Policy

Buck kids must be pre-ordered. We do not retain buck kids unless pre-ordered or intended for our herd. All unreserved buck kids are castrated and scrapie tagged at the time of disbudding.

Market Wethers

Market wethers must be reserved with a $20 deposit, with the balance due when the kid is picked up at or before 4 weeks of age. We will not hold wethers without a deposit and we will not raise them until weaning. No ADGA registration papers will be issued for wethers, but can be obtained at the buyer's cost.

Purchasing Already-Born Kids

For kids already born, the full purchase price is due at the time of purchase.

Re-Reservation After a Cancellation

If you wish to make another reservation after canceling a previous order, a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the kid’s purchase price is required.

Shipping
  • Buyer Responsibilities: Purchasers cover all shipping costs, including the crate, airfare, required health tests, and health certificates.

  • Costs: A shipping advance of $650 for a single kid (under 50 lbs) or $750 for two kids (51–70 lbs) is required prior to shipping.

  • CVI and Health Documentation: A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is required for all out-of-state shipments. The cost for this is approximately $125

  • Third-Party Transport: Third-party ground transport is considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved prior to shipping. We are not liable for health issues once animals leave the farm.

Biosecurity and On-Farm Pick-Up

We prioritize strict biosecurity practices for the health and safety of our herd. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Appointments Only: Farm visits are by appointment only. Please notify us if you are running late. Unannounced visitors cannot be accommodated.

  • Clean Clothing and Shoes: Do not wear clothing or footwear that has been in contact with other livestock.

  • Viewing Policy: Viewing is visual only—no entering pens or pastures.

  • Children: No unruly children or loud behavior. All children must remain with parents at all times.

  • Pets: Please leave pets at home. Due to the nature of Livestock Guardian Dogs, we cannot guarantee the safety of your pets. They are capable of coming over a fence to face what they perceive as a threat.

  • No Feeding Animals: For the safety of our goats, feeding them is not allowed.

  • LGDs: Our livestock guardian dogs are protective of their herd, and view strange people the same way they view strange dogs, coyotes, and feral hogs. Do not attempt to pet them.

Note: We do not have restroom facilities available.
